The performers were called "Honkey Tonks".

       These groups of people would travel around doing circus acts.  They would also do singing and comedic acts.  They would do performences about every day.  After all that work, they would get $3 a week.  To them, that was a lot.  Besides that, people would go to museums.  The museums would have living people on display.  Also for entertainment, they would go to plays.  Music halls first appeared in London.  There were many more ways to be entertained but these were the most popular ways.
